These jeans were so old..
I made them into shorts HERE.

Love these shorts!!! :)

Hope all my fellow Ontarioites are enjoying the heat!!!

This is How I Cook ~ Apple Pie

I have been going on and on and on about my apple pie lately.

I have actually made and consumed two pie s in the last week.
I know....crazy.

This is how I make MY version of apple pie. :)

WHAT YOU NEED:
~ 1/2 cup flour
~ 6 -7 cups thinly sliced Granny Smith apples
~ 3/4 cup white sugar
~ 3/4 cup brown sugar
~ 1 tsp. cinnamon
~ 1 Pillsbury Pie Crust

STEP 1: Peel and cut approx. 7 cups of Granny Smith apples. I like mine to be cut very thin so it's puffier. :)

STEP 2: In a bowl put all your apples and all your dry ingredients together - mix well.

STEP 3: Roll out your Pillsbury Pie Crust ($4.99) and put the bottom half in your pie plate.

STEP 4: Pour your apple mixture into the pie crust.

STEP 5: Take the top piece of the pie crust and lay it on top as a cover. Use a fork to close edges.

STEP 6: Poke holes and make small slits to allow breathing and oozing room.

STEP 7: Wrap your edges in tin foil and place n the over at 375F for 25 minutes.

STEP 8: After the first 25 minutes, remove the tin foil and cook for another 40 minutes.

Ta da!
Delish!

Miss. Travel McTravelson ~ The Big Apple

Baaaaahahahahahaha!!
GOTCHA!!!

You thought I was gonna talk about NYC didn't you?
Nope...this is better! LOL

My friend J, her daughter Bird and I went to The Big Apple in Colburn, Ontario.
I have seen it a few time while passing through, but this time we had to make a trip out of it :)
We took tonnes of fun photos and ate not so yummy apple pie (mine's better- clearly!)
You could even go inside that HUGE apple!
So exciting.

They have mini putt and bumper cars too.
Plus an awesome gift shop we spent some serious time in!

There was probably 50 types of apple pie and crumble to choose from!
Cookies, bread, squares and MORE!!!

Yumm...yum...yum...
So go check out the big Apple... it's a must see for sure!!!

New Lot at the Shop!!!

Since I had to stop making furniture due to storage and transportation size issues, I had to think of something else to ad to my shop.

That's when everyone kept saying "Your maxi dresses! Your maxi dresses!"
I thought about, then thought about it some more.
Then I banged out all these to see how they turned out.

All dresses come with their own accent belt!!!!

So head on over to my SHOP
and check them out!!!

Cottage Smottage ~ Linen Storage

As you all know, there is no closets in my new place.
I have had to come up with some pretty good ideas on how to organize and store my essentials.

I took this shelf that I always found useless due to it's weird compartment sizes.
Nothing ever fit in it really.

Not anymore!!!
I had painted it white last summer when I got it, and it is so handy cause it has wheels on it to move it around.

I rolled my big bath towels so they would look nice...

Miss Travel McTravelson ~ Dominican Republic

Since I have finished my European travel adventure, your gonna start to see some relics around here :)

In 2007 I went to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.
I really enjoyed it there, the weather was a bit to rainy and the food wasn't amazeballs...but I did meet some really good friends there :)

The architecture was crazy. Beautiful buildings painted wild colors but they were so run down!

Church doors had these amazing mahogany doors with beautiful intricate carvings.

We took this old rickety tram up this huge hill.
I was so flippin' scared cause the power kept going out and we would just hang and swing forever!!! LOL

This was our tram guy...
:)
Thanks for not letting me die tram man. xoxo

There was a stunning castle I toured around too...

Lots of tourists there so didn't stay long...

I would like to go back to Dominican.
I am trying hard to go in January for the J's vow renewal.
I have my fingers crossed.
