PL Peek ~ May Long Weekend Camping!

I went camping on the May long weekend!
I rarely get 2 days off in a row - let alone 3!

We camped at Charleston Lake Provincial Park and it was awesome.
The sites were a great size, very private and quiet.
It's about 45 minutes from home which is a good thing since forgot our two bags of dry food!
Sheesh!

Go out to the campground early evening on Saturday and got the tent up and fire going :)
The weather was a little over cast and rainy, but it was warm and still very relaxing!

Whenever I go camping people seem to think I'm really weird for the lack of stuff I bring.
All I need is a tent, a tarp, a sleeping bag, foamy, bug spray, a swiss army knife, frying pan, pot, matches, candles, food and water.
I pretty much cook all my food on the fire, sit and widdle wood :)

I love to just watch the fire and relax.
I'm not sure if Chuck Norris loved sleeping in the tent, but he'll just have to get used to it!

It was a fab weekend overall - I really needed a break.

DIY ~ Three Canvas Whale Painting

This one sold like a hot cake!
Peeps sure seem to love my three canvas artwork!
Thanks to my lovely friend Evyn who purchased this lil' gem!

WHAT YOU NEED:
3 canvas' the same size
3 shades of blue paint
white paint
pencil
clear coat

First paint your three canvas'.
One baby blue,
one medium or royal blue and one navy blue.

Let dry.

Using a pencil, on your darkest canvas draw the outline of your whale and waves.

Put all three canvas' together and extend the whales spout hole water all the way up through all three canvas'.
On your top canvas, make a big splash!

Now paint it all in white.

Once dry, clear coat for protection.

This Is How I Cook ~ Messy's Wife Saver Breakfast

I love this wife saver stuff from Company's Coming!
I alter my recipe all the time and switch it up!
You can do tonnes of things with it, but this is my most basic version.

YOU NEED:
bread
cheese
veggies of choice
eggs
milk
oregano
salt & pepper
bacon
clear 9inch baking dish
cooking spray
bowl

First cook you bacon in a frying pan over medium heat.

While it's cooking, spray your dish with cooking spray and cover the bottom of it with bread slices.

In a bowl mix milk, eggs and spices until blended.

Take your cooked bacon and layer it across your bread.

Now put a layer of cheese.

Now put a layer of your veggies.
(You can cook them a little if you want before hand)

Cover with another layer of bread slices.

Pour your bowl mixture all over the top of your bread concoction and bake for an hour.

Serve with mini potatoes or a fruit salad!

DIY ~ Colored Rice

I really wanted to have a pretty way to display all my DIY jewellery at the farmer's market every Saturday.
I have a huge white tray, just needed something to put in it.
Here is how I made the coolest colorful rice!

WHAT YOU NEED:
rice
food coloring
clear hand sanitizer
large ziploc bag
paper towel
sunshine

First take your rice and dump it in your ziploc bag.

Now add a few drops of food coloring in whatever color you desire.
Now ad a few squirts of hand sanitizer.

Zip up your bag super tight!!!

Shake shake shake shake!
Shake until all the rice is coated and has an even color.

Now lay to dry in the sun on paper towel.

Once completely dry it will be a wicked color and the color won't come off on anything!

So cool, it's like a science experiment!

Product Review ~ Arbonne's Primer

I am in LOVE!!!
This stuff is the bomb!

It makes your skin feel like silk and all you will want to do id touch your face!

Arbonne's Face Primer comes in this sleep pump bottle and works like a charm.
You can either use it on your skin alone, with lotion, or underneath your foundation.
If you do use it underneath, it works awesome and makes your foundation seamless and last for hours.

No chunkiness in your creases!
This stuff makes all those fine lines go away!

I can't say enough about it!
Go get yourself some :)

DIY ~ Clothes Pins Starburst Mirror

I have seen these starburst mirrors all over the place and want one so bad!!!

WHAT YOU NEED:
round mirrors
wood clothes pins
hot glue gun
craft paper
pen
scissors
wire

First clip clothes pins all the way around your mirror in a tight circle fan.

Take your glue gun and on the back glue all the clothes pins together.
It doesn't have to look too nice because we will cover the back.
Just make sure you stay near the center where the back of the mirror is.

For the back, make a loop with your wire and hot glue gun it to the back of the mirror.
Cut a large circle out of your craft paper and glue it on the back. Cut a slit for the wire to slide through.
