DIY ~ Pocket Mittens

I love these little handwarmers I make here in my shop.
But it's hard to walk with your hands in your pockets when it's slippery out.

Here is how I made myself a pair of mittens with pockets for my handwarmers!

I bought this sweater with front pockets at Goodwill on a 50% off day for $2.99.
First using a sharpie trace your hand with at least an inch all the way around.
Make sure your hands are right over the sweaters pockets!

Cut them out.

Now trace the same size onto two layers of felt.
These will be your lining.

Sew all around your felt gloves leaving the wrist area open.

Reverse your wool mitts and sew with a zigzag stitch all around.
Reverse them.
Tuck your fleece mitt inside and sew at the cuff to hold them in place.

I love them!!!!

Cheers,
Messy
