This is How I Cook ~ Apple Brown Betty

Mmmmm....
I loves me some Brown Betty.
In case you don't know, it's kinda like a crumble...but BETTER!!!
 
Here's how you do it!!
 
 
YOU NEED:
 
6 - 7 cups of peeled sliced apples
3/4 cup sugar
 
Topping:
1 1/4 cups flour
3/4 cup brown sugar packed
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup margarine or butter
 
Place apples in greased shallow 3 quart (3L) casserole dish.
Sprinkle sugar over top.
 
 
Topping:
Combine flour, brown sugar and salt in bowl.
 
 
Cut in margarine until mixture resembles course crumbs.
 
 
Scatter evenly over apples.
Press down lightly.
Bake uncovered at 375F (190C) for 40 minutes.
 
 
You can serve it with vanilla ice cream, Dream Whip, Whipping Cream or even yogurt if you want!
 
So delish!
