Weekend In A Nutshell ~ December 7th - 9th

Busy, busy, busy.

Always the way.

 

Friday = worked.

Saturday = dance

 

I came home on Saturday from a long day at dance and Tally had made the most spectacular meal!!!

 

Pork tenderloin, bacon wrapped asparagus and roasted baby potatoes. MMMMMM.....

 

 

To top it all off - he made me chocolate covered strawberries :))))

What a guy!!!

 

I also made these easy peasy lil' star ornaments...watch out for the DIY tutorial coming soon  :)))

 

That was my whole weekend.
Sad I know.

Weekend In a Nutshell ~ November 30th - December 2nd

This was not an exciting weekend.

LOL

Well, exciting for me in the sense that I did absolutely nothing.

So lazy.

So enjoyable. :)

 

Here is what I did do...

 

Friday morning I worked at the 1000 Islands Artisans Collective where my stuff is displayed!!! :)

 

Tally and I put the Christmas Tree up :)))

 



 

Sunday we went to Canadian Tire and looked at all the purdy Christmas decorations!

 

Tally pulled out all his old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to make some awesome key chains that are now selling in my shop!

 

While he worked on his craft project, I made a whole bunch of new Monster Rock Magnets - go check them out...these suckers are hot!!! LOL

 

Other than that we pretty much watched TV, got some Christmas stuff done and relaxed!

So nice to have a day off where I didn't have to do anything!

Weekend In A Nutshell ~ November 23rd - 25th

This weekend was super fast and super productive!!!

 

I got almost all my December DIY posts started and organized!

I have some super exciting projects for you all and starting December 1st and I will be sharing one a day for 12 days!!! :)))

 

 

Saturday I had dance and I took some cookies in for the kidlets cause they have been working so hard!

My assistant Emma got one too :)

 

Sunday, Tally and I made breakfast and then I spent the day with my bestest neighbor friend at a Craft Show.

It was at the dance studio and we had tables side by side :)

 

 

 Sunday night Tally and I ate a yummy chicken dinner and rearranged the furniture in my living room :)

Weekend In a Nutshell ~ November 16th - 18th

Man that was a fast but long week.

Whew! Glad it's the weekend :)))

 

Friday night I worked at the Boarding School and we watched the movie The Campaign.

Will Ferrell and Zack Galifianakis are so hilar!!!

Saturday morning I had dance and the kidlets were extra good to me!

So funny they are!

 

When I got home from dance Tally was making mini pizzas for us for lunch!

What a good man!!!

 

Then I watched a little bit of the movie Indian in the Cupboard until I was off again!

 

 

Sunday I got a whole bunch of blogging done - which makes me uber happy!

 



 

 I made a spectacular chicken burger dinner...

 

 

 All in all...weekend = success :))

Weekend In a Nutshell ~ November 9th - 11th

 Ahhhh...the weekend.

Even though I work most of it, I still managed to find some fun time :)

Friday I made the most delicious cookies!

Saturday after dance, Tally took me for a date night to Island Delight!

Such great Chinese food :) mmmm...

After dinner we stopped by Tally's friend Em's bday party! 

Sunday I got some serious stuff done - haircut, dye job, clean the house, change the sheets, dog park, 2Messy store creations and so much more!

Tally and I went to Lyn falls with some pizza for lunch!

The weather was amazing ehre on Sunday and we were hot in our hoodies!



 

Sunday night I went to my friend #5's house for a movie and some cake pops!

 

Yay for fun weekends :)

Weekend In A Nutshell ~ November 2nd - 4th

Ahhhh....November eh?

 

Wow.

 

It's almost Hawaii time.

(Yup, that's right I'm meeting the famjam in Maui this year!)

 

This is what I got up to this weekend...

 

 

1. I painted some Christmas Penguin Ornaments for my shop!

2 & 3. Tally and I went on a road trip!

4. Ikea run for some rugs and candles :)

Weekend In a Nutshell ~ October 26th - 28th

Friday I woke up to this...

 

 

The rest of the day was spent doing errands and catching up on life.

I did get to talk to my nephew Logan on Skype - which was the highlight of my day :)

 

Friday night was the usual shift at the boarding school - filled with hair braids and nail painting!

 

 

Saturday morning I had dance, and in the afternoon we had out Halloween Chiili Dinner Fundraiser!

It went really well and there was tonnes of people there!!

 

 

Saturday night Tally and I went to some friend's house for a Halloween party!

 

 

Sunday we slept in way too late, I got mad, made Tally go home, made cookies and chickened out of going for dinner with his parents.

Yup.

I'm a terrible girlfriend. {sigh}

Weekend In a Nutshell ~ October 19th - 21st

This weekend was pretty gosh darn good. :)

Relaxing yet hectic and eventful at the same time.

 

Friday during the day I went and helped Nurse Amy decorate for her wedding on Saturday!

 

Friday night I worked at the boarding school.

 

 

Saturday morning was dance,

 

then Tally and I went to the wedding.

 

Sunday was a lazy day and we went for a huge long drive to Frankville for the chip wagon.

We bought some pumpkins to carve this week and walked around Westport :)

 

Sunday night I made some yummy mini meat loafs for dinner and cleaned my place.

 

End story.

Weekend In a Nutshell ~ October 12th - 14th

I had a very busy, yet lazy weekend.

Odd...I know. LOL

 

Friday night I worked at the Boarding School.

Me and the ladies painted our nails and Itzel gave me a beautiful braid in my hair.

We also watched the movie In Time with Justin Timberlake in it.

Yeah....he's hot.

 

Saturday I had dance and my juniors started their jazz dance to "Call me Maybe".

So cute!!!

 

Saturday night Tally and I went to the Drive- In movie theater in Kingston!

So fun!

We ate loads of junkfood and sat in the back of the van with lots of blankets!

It was sooooo cold out!

We watched Looper and House on Silent Hill.

 

 

Sunday...legit did nothing.

Well, I did a lot of baking.

Apple pies, apple brown betty, cake pops.

 

 

It's so fall-y here now...the leaves have all changed and it's windiy and chilly.

I love fall.

All in all....good weekend.

Weekend In A Nutshell ~ May 18th - 21st

Yay for long weekends!!!! :)

This was a great one!

So many fantubular things happened.

Friday was my very first grill session on my new BBQ!!!! :)

Saturday I browzed the Brockville Farmers Market as a spectator for once!

So fun!!!

Also went for a big long walk by the river...beautiful weather.

Saturday night me and my peeps hung out with Jody for her birthday party!!!

Drinks, drinks and more drinks.

Sunday morning I got up at 3:45am and went to the Ottawa Farmer's Market with Mr. Avery.

On my way home from Ottawa I picked up a fridge I bought off Kijiji!

Yay for having a fridge!!! :)

When I got home at 5:30 the Fireworks party had already started and was well on it's way.

I had a good time at this party.

A very very good time.

Monday I just recouperated from a very hectic weekend.

It was so hot and sunny, I spent most of the time outside :)

Lovely.

PL Peek: Dance Competition

I had a fabulous weekend! ;)

I went to the Shine Dance Competition in Kingston, Ontario with my kidlets.

All day Friday and Saturday were spent watching students dress up, get ready, stretch, stress, have minor meltdowns, get so nervous they want to die/pee their pants/passout or crap themselves and then kill it on stage. :)

MISS SHELLEY IS SOOOOOOO PROUD OF EVERY ONE OF YOU!!!

We got some great scores and some not so great scores.

My favorite number went off amazingly, they were together, the choreography looked great, spacing was bang on, noone forgot the steps....

and we got gold.

This is a low score...

GOLD - HIGH GOLD - PLATINUM - DIAMOND.

I am very anxious to see what the comments from the adjudicators are.

Too ballet not enough modern?

Wrong category?

These are the only things I can think of.

I have to admit.

I was pretty upset.

I went to my car and had a little scream and held back tears.

I was counting on this number. :(

Oh well, maybe they will tell me what they didn't like and we can fix it before next competition.

You win some, you lose some.

I will say, we did have people standing in the audience, other dancers were telling there parents when we were waiting to go on that they HAD to see our number.

The place was packed...and it sounded like everyone loved it.

We love it.

Ok enough, enough, enough.

I will make sure to let you all know what the adjudicators said when I find out this week :)

Fingers crossed it just needs to be changed categories.

We had loads of other dances too that we did really well on, and now I feel bad about venting. {sigh}
