Happy Blogiversary To Me!!! :)

YAY YAY YAY!

It's finally here!

I can't believe I made it a year with my blog.

And although it all started as a way for me to enter my home made cards into contests, it has evolved into so much more.

This is my life, my everything, a way for me to vent, share and be inspired by everyone around me.

It has also paved the way for my online store and has made my sales locally majorly improve.

I couldn't be happier with the way it's turned out.

Keep coming back because I have been brainstorming away and have tonnes of new segments coming up.

I'm going to post way more outfit posts, DIY's and new and exciting furniture. I have some great recipes I'm going to share and there's some major life changes coming up that I can't wait to share!

It's an exciting year coming up in 2Messy's world...come along for the ride.

Blogiversay info & I'm So Sorry!!!

I am sooooooooooooooooo sorry that I have been MIA lately. I ahve been having some health issues i ahve had to get looked at, and with dance starting it has been crazy! We are in frantic "buy the xostumes" mode and I have been spending lots of extra hours at the studio. Plus without my camera there isn't many things I can take photos of...I can't seem to figure out how to get my photos off my new smart phone. {sigh} I did it once before...

Anyways...

Card Day - Whoa...

Today I've decided that since I left my camera in Calgary and can't take any new photos for posts, I will post an old card I had some snaps of :)

So in light of the 10cm of snow we recieved today...here is a sunny happy day card!!!

SMILE!!!

 I started with the yellow base paper from my DCWV Sunshine Stack. The darker ripped paper is that Corecolors paper  and I just used some orange cardstock for the scalloped piece. OF course, I added 3 jewels from Glitterazzi and some white flower ribbon from Michael's. The stamp is from Michael's $1.50 bin and I used DewDrop Momento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored it in with my Crayola's and added a tiny jewel by the "Smile" sentiment.

I hadn't done a card post in FOREVER!!!

Miss. Travel McTravelson ~ Roma

Good Day All!!!!

Today I am taking you to ROMA!!!!

Definately one of my favorite places in all of Europe. We walked all of Rome by foot and saw everything you could possibly see!!!

The buildings, the architecture, the remains still standing are so stunning. Words don't even describe the overwhelming feeling of being so little on this earth. I love this picture above with sun shining through the Pantheon ceiling. UNBELIEVABLE.

  

As soon as we got out we were bombarded by this guy!!! LOL We thought it was hilarious until he turned to My Paddy and said "That's $5 bucks man" LOL LMAO!!!!

This is Old Roma...so stunning. I can't believe they let people walk around it still.

The Colosseum was obviously one of the major highlights of Roma. We spent some time relaxing inside and taking in the sites. It was so hot that day they we were just happy to find a seat and some shade :)

 We had the best balcony at our hotel! But it was sooooo far from the Termini. Before we had to walk tot he train everyday we would sigh and say "lets get going on the never ending walk to the Termini..." LOL We bought lots of food at grocery stores and made fresh salads with fun breads...so good to have "home cooked" meals! ha!

Of course we had to get new tattoos in Roma! The guy was a total dink (excuse my language) and hated us from the get go because we didn't speak Italian. Mine was so extremely painful because he was laying on my stomach and kept yelling "no move!!!!" LOL

We went to Vatican city and took a look around. It was amazing...the church is HUGE! I couldn't go inside because I was wearing shorts :( but My Paddy did and took some amazing photos!!!

 went to an AS Roma game and it was sooo cool! Definitely one of my most vivid memories from our trip. The crowds were crazy and when they didn't win...it was a full out riot! People were throwing fire bombs into the audience...CRAZY!!!

On our last evening in Roma, My Paddy ate these delicious morsels of goodness over beers...

I'm glad i didn't eat them because poor Paddy was having troubles staying out of the washroom all the next day! And we had to fly!!!! LOL Poor guy! :)

This is How I Cook: Cake Pops!

Oh lordy lordy lordy! This was an experience. I'm not gonna lie....I got very frustrated. LOL But this is all due to cooking/baking experience and knowledge...not the recipe, I don't think.

I followed this easy version on pinterest but I kinda bought the wrong chocolate and the dipping didn't work so well...

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

- cake mix

- 1 can of icing

- sticks

- mini bags

- melting chocolate

Make your cake according to the instructions on the box. ( I used Spice cake and Buttercream icing). 

Once finished and fully cooled, crumble it into a bowl and mix in your can of icing (I used about 3/4th and it was perfect).

Roll your balls and place on a cookie sheet in the fridge over night.

Once balls are cold, melt your chocolate. Dip your stick in the chocolate and insert half way through your balls on the flat side.

You should use thin chocolate that you can dip your pop in, but I screwed up and thought chocolate chips would work. Not the case. I had to drip my chocolate on to coat and placed them on a sheet to harden. I also sprinkled crushed candy canes on top to add some pizzaz.

 Then I put them in mini bags and tied with a little ribbon! :) So cute!
