I have been going on and on and on about my apple pie lately.
I have actually made and consumed two pie s in the last week.
I know....crazy.
This is how I make MY version of apple pie. :)
WHAT YOU NEED:
~ 1/2 cup flour
~ 6 -7 cups thinly sliced Granny Smith apples
~ 3/4 cup white sugar
~ 3/4 cup brown sugar
~ 1 tsp. cinnamon
~ 1 Pillsbury Pie Crust
STEP 1: Peel and cut approx. 7 cups of Granny Smith apples. I like mine to be cut very thin so it's puffier. :)
STEP 2: In a bowl put all your apples and all your dry ingredients together - mix well.
STEP 3: Roll out your Pillsbury Pie Crust ($4.99) and put the bottom half in your pie plate.
STEP 4: Pour your apple mixture into the pie crust.
STEP 5: Take the top piece of the pie crust and lay it on top as a cover. Use a fork to close edges.
STEP 6: Poke holes and make small slits to allow breathing and oozing room.
STEP 7: Wrap your edges in tin foil and place n the over at 375F for 25 minutes.
STEP 8: After the first 25 minutes, remove the tin foil and cook for another 40 minutes.
Ta da!
Delish!
Cheers,
Messy
I am disappointed you don't make your own crust! hehe, just kidding :)
