Well...my turkey turned out!!!!
I'm so proud, it isn't even funny. LOL
It wasn't thawed on Sunday so we had to roll our dinner over to Monday - but whateve!!!!!
So, here is a This is How I Cook a Turkey post for ya!!! :)
STEP 1: Thaw turkey in fridge and/or sink of cold water until fully thawed.
STEP 2: Take wrapping off and remove all guts and insides of the turkey! {gross - that's a pant duty!}
STEP 3: Smash 4 or 5 garlic cloves and mix with butter until creamy. Smear it under neath rhe skin of the turkey.
STEP 4: Stuff the turkey butt with stuffing of your choice. {My Paddy made ours and I will share his recipe another time}
STEP 5: Cut a package of bacon in half and lay the strips all over the top of the turkey.
STEP 6: Add a cup of water to the bottom of the pan and cover with tin foil.
STEP 7: Ours was a 6.5 pound turkey and I cooked it for one hour, covered on 450 F. After the first hour I uncovered it, and turned it down to 350 F for another 3 hours. I basted every half hour!!! :)
STEP 8: Let your turkey cool for about a half hour - then carve! Bacon included! So yummy!!!!
